If you’ve got an ACC claim, or you think you need one, here’s how it works.
Already have a claim?
Sweet. Ask your ACC case manager or Recovery Team to add Rongoā Māori to your rehabilitation plan.
No claim yet?
Kei te pai. You can see your GP, physio, or urgent care to open one, or call ACC on 0800 101 996. Once the claim is approved, you can request Rongoā Māori to be added to your rehab plan.

Once ACC approves it, they’ll send a Purchase Order directly to me. When I receive it, I’ll let you know and we’ll confirm your booking.
Claim type
Once approved, let me know whether your claim is an Injury Claim or a Sensitive Claim. It just helps things move more smoothly.
If the admin feels like too much
That’s okay. You can contact an ACC Navigator, they’re genuinely helpful or contanct and I’ll talk you through it.
Is this only for Māori?
Kāhore. No. Anyone with an approved ACC claim can request Rongoā Māori as part of their rehabilitation plan.
