Agreement

By accessing this website or booking a session with Hopeful Essence Co, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions.

Nature of Services

Sessions offered through Hopeful Essence Co are body-led and experiential. They may include Indigenous Māori practices, energy-based work, breath, conversation, and somatic awareness.

These sessions are not medical, psychological, or psychiatric treatment and are not a substitute for professional healthcare. You remain responsible for your own wellbeing, choices, and actions during and after sessions.

Participation is voluntary. You may pause or stop a session at any time.

Booking & Payment

Payment is required at the time of booking unless otherwise agreed.
All pricing is listed in USD unless stated otherwise.
By booking, you confirm that you are over 18 years of age or have appropriate consent to participate.

Cancellations & No-Shows

Sessions are reserved specifically for you.

• Cancellations or reschedules must be made at least 24 hours prior to the session.
• Cancellations within 24 hours or failure to attend will be charged in full.
• Late arrivals may result in a shortened session without fee adjustment.

If Hopeful Essence Co needs to reschedule due to unforeseen circumstances, an alternative session time will be offered.

Refunds

Refunds are not offered for completed sessions or changes of mind.
If a session cannot proceed due to provider error, a reschedule or refund may be offered at discretion.
Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 where applicable.

Online Sessions

Online sessions are delivered live via zoom.
You are responsible for ensuring a private space and reliable internet connection.
Technical issues on your end do not qualify for refunds.

In-Person Sessions (Aotearoa New Zealand only)

In-person sessions are offered in Kawakawa, Bay of Islands, New Zealand only unless otherwise stated. You are responsible for arriving on time and in a condition suitable for the session. Please do not arrive early.

ACC / Rongoā Māori (NZ Only)

ACC-funded Rongoā Māori sessions require ACC approval and a valid Purchase Order.
Once a session is approved and booked under ACC, standard cancellation terms apply unless ACC advises otherwise.

Gift Certificates

Gift certificates are subject to the following conditions:

• Non-transferable
• Valid for 180 days from purchase date
• Redeemable for services only
• Not redeemable for cash
• Non-refundable
• Subject to availability
• Standard cancellation policy applies
• Lost or stolen certificates will not be replaced

Confidentiality

All sessions are treated as confidential, except where disclosure is required by law or where there is risk of harm to yourself or others.

Intellectual Property

All website content, branding, written material, and imagery are the property of Hopeful Essence Co and may not be reproduced without permission.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by New Zealand law, Hopeful Essence Co is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from participation in sessions or use of this website.

Changes to These Terms

These Terms & Conditions may be updated from time to time. Continued use of the website or services constitutes acceptance of the current version.

Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of New Zealand.
